The Corporate Responsibility Area manages all the social action projects on the international stage through a system of analysis, management, measurement and recording of all the social actions and collaborations carried out. Thanks to this system, called “Solidarity Index” (NH Hoteles System of Management of Social Action), NH Hoteles analyses each project with the same parameters, selecting those which are most in line with the Company’s business strategy. The Company works with a multitude of non-profit making organizations whose mission is focused on the development and defense of human rights or promotion of respect for the environment .

NH Hoteles donates €1 and €2 to social causes from the special rates enjoyed by employees with the “Voucher Amigo” and “Employee Rate”, every time they use them. This amount is added to the rest of the Corporate Responsibility budget for social causes in the international sphere, and is a reference for the Heads of Corporate Responsibility in all the Business Units to carry out actions of a social nature.

Mario Vargas Llosa Story Award. Organized and promoted by NH Hoteles, in its most recent edition it was presented with 67 books of stories and more than 1250 independent texts. The winning stories and finalists were used to publish a collection of books called “Noches de Relatos” in various languages, which is distributed in the rooms of all the group’s hotels for guests to enjoy.

NH Stock Art 2008. The NH Hoteles art collection continues to add works by emerging new artists which become part of the interior design and the brand image of NH. With the most recently opened hotels in 2008, the collection now has more than 3500 original works by 200 artists.
