Introducing NH Hoteles
NH Hoteles’s hotel activities registered an important improvement
in 2006 with a net 30.6% increase over the year before. This result
was made possible thanks to a 13.4% increase in hotel income, up
to €1,021.57M. Occupancy gains and an 8.7% increase in the ADR
(average price) contributed to sales growth. Revpar (revenue per
available room) rose 9.7%.
Hotel activity’s EBITDA (operating profit) climbed to €161.80M
and registered a rise of 27.2% over 2005.
Chain-wide total revenue rose to €1,090M, including
Sotogrande, and the net benefit for the consolidated group
remained stable at €62.45M. The net benefit was diluted by
lower income from Sotogrande, which is explained by the sale of
a parcel of land in 2005.
