NH Hotels Short Story Award
Each year, NH Hotels organizes a new edition of the most important short story prize in Spain in order to provide our guests with an exclusive choice of bedtime reading and to promote short stories written in Spanish and new literary talents. For the first time we have included a new category of short story written in English

Commitment with the art world
In a similar way, for many years Contemporary Art has played a major role in the chain. Vanguard art at the guestrooms and public areas, project a special image of dynamic and modern NH Hotels. The "NH STOCK ART" itinerant collection, inaugurated in 2000, has travel to several hotels in Spanish cities, also to Netherland cities such as Amsterdam, Maastricht and Rotterdam, with the most representative works owned by the chain.

Compromise with sports
NH Hotels participates in the sponsorship of different sport events. Competitive spirit, teamwork and continuous effort, are values which are encouraged in sports. Swimming, tennis, navigation, polo and golf are some of the sports in which NH Hotels focus its efforts.

Some of the different sport events in which NH participates as sponsor or promoter are, for example, the swimming World championship, in Barcelona, the NH Golf Tour, the Polo Tournament in Sotogrande, or the Tennis Masters Madrid 2003.

Interactive services
NH Hotels provide the best TV interactive services in all its guestrooms: pay-per-view movies, video games, messaging and information. Internet is also offered in the guestrooms.

Another example of the passion for detail that defines our chain’s style is that, since March 2001, each employee who has contact with the public wears the uniform designed by Adolfo Dominguez, one of the most prestigious fashion designers in Spain. This initiative, the first in Spain, prove the priority we attach to be at the forefront of design and décor.

NH Hoteles at the vanguard of restaurant services with Ferrán Adriá
Ferran Adriá one of the best chefs in the world, creator of "El Bulli" restaurant in Roses (Catalunya), is responsible for promoting new restaurant techniques and concepts. He reached an association agreement with the hotel chain. With this initiative, the chain intends to place its restaurants and cuisine at the forefront and to enrich the services provided in all the hotels. The hotel target is to have all those NH Hotels restaurants, in which these concepts are introduced, become landmarks in all the cities where they are present. One of his creations is "Nhube", a space combining restaurant services, leisure and relaxing. This year the first "Nhube", created by Adrià will be launched in Madrid. Another concept that Ferrán Adrià has developed for NH Hotels, is "Fast Good", concept which joins best quality products with quick service .

NH Hotels creates its own brand "Agua de la Tierra"
in its toiletry kits
NH Hotels has created its own brand "Agua de la Tierra" in its toiletry kits. This new line is based in Spain and the Mediterranean sea. This idea evoke us concepts such us healthy life, body care and organic products.

The new products reflect citric fragrances, freshness, sun and Mediterranean clima aspects. The new high quality packages, are predominately practical, with a capacity of 40 ml. For the line a selected variety of high quality products have been selected, all natural such as glycerin soup or body milk with orange essence.

The toiletry kit "Agua de la Tierra" will be available in all NH’s properties by the first quarter 2004.

Woman Style rooms
NH Hotels has an increasingly large number of women among its guests who currently represent 20% of the total booking. To ensure that their stay is as pleasant as possible, the chain recently introduced the "Woman Style" concept, which includes among other special features, rooms that are specifically reserved for ladies. This service also includes specially designed accessories for women.<br>

We have also created a new kit called "Woman Style Agua de la Tierra", It's specially designed for women and consists of different products such as body milk, make-up remover and others.
